Benefits of Membership
Individual Membership
It's easier to build a business with a powerful name behind you.
Formerly the Small Business Association of Delaware Valley, thousands of member companies have joined the Midlantic Business Alliance (MBA) to access the opportunities for business growth that are an integral part of membership.
From its founding in 1980, MBA has been assertive in legislative issues; has aggressively pursued affordable, quality healthcare; and has led the fight for ligitimate government loans to businesses.
Today, the Alliance is the largest regional organization dedicated exclusively to the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.
Starting a business is no easy task. More Americans are going into business for themselves today than at any time in the history of our nation. MBA provides prospective business owners with the knowledge and tools necessary to get started in business.
Prospective business owners can join as an individual associate member for only $56 per year, plus a one time enrollment fee of $10.
Individual Associate members have access to the following benefits of membership:
Educational Workshops
As a member of MBA, you will be able to attend free workshops on issues important to today's entrepreneur including marketing, financing, human resource management, business planning, accounting, etc. These workshops are designed to provide the small business owner/prospective business owner with the tools needed to manage and operate successfully.
Financing Your Business
MBA has a special working relationship with many Delaware Valley banking institutions and micro-loan consortiums who work closely with MBA to provide members with financial institutions sensitive to the needs of small businesses. As a member, you will have an advantage in dealing with these institutions in our banking relationship program.
Free Business Consulting
Experienced professionals in the areas of marketing, human resource management, finance and accounting, communications, and operations provide free limited consultations to MBA members. Free limited legal consultations with an attorney in our legal referral program are also available to members, employees and their families.
Networking
Exchange ideas and knowlegde with peers, network with collegues and take advantage of enhanced business opportunities by attending BusinessLink networking events and our regional Leads Groups.
Individual associate members can also take advantage of the member discounts available through the Alliance. For further information on additional member discounts that are available, please click on "Regular Membership" in the menu listing on the left side of your screen.
Annual dues: $65, plus a one time enrollment fee of $10
Individual members are required to upgrade to a regular membership on the membership renewal date after your business opens. Regular dues are $125 per year, and entitle you to participate in our credit union and group health insurance plans.
The individual associate membership is a non-voting membership category.
